Day 21- Your favorite fictional lolita

Well, as you might realize, there isnt many fictional lolita characters out there. I was trying to find it earlier, but it seems to have dissapeared, but there was an online comic calld "Confessions of an American Lolita" which was roughly based on what actually happens in the real life lolita communities. If I had to choose anyone, it would be that main character! Mainly because she was so...well, NORMAL! I found it back in '08, but I never even saw another chapter come out after the first one. Regardless, I loved it! I wish it didnt dissapear so I could of shown it to the world!

I have a lot of friends that i met through the lolita fashion! I can't just pick one photo, so I will use a photo from a meet up that was last summer. It was such a blast!!!

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 19 cont.

Day 19- What is in your makeup bag?

I know, I left off on this challange a long time ago. But, I am not a quitter, and I am determined to finish this challange! I have just been held up with moveing, among a ton of other crazy things that have been going on lately.

You know, I never really knotice how much makeup I had untill I started to move! I am not going to show you all of it because I have a whole box, but rather the most often used...which is still rather quite a bit!

My rainbow of glitter. I have various shades of each color including darker shades, dusty colors, and even pastels. I do mostly use white glitter though, because it tends to be more style neurtal.

Again, I have tons of eyeliner not only just solid colors and gitter eyeliner, but liquids and pencils/pen depending on weather i am doing plain basic eye makeup, or drawing hears, stars or other swirls and designs on my face. I also alway have my mascara, red lipstick, and eyelash glue.

And last but not least are my eyeshadows and foundation. Again, I have solid colors, solids with glitter mixed in, and straight up glitter eyeshadow. I have a ton more colors, but since I work 6 days a week now, I tend to keep my makeup pretty work friendly during work days unless I am off of work for the day, or have a fun event planned to go to after work.


Well, now that I am sort of settled I hope to finish this challange soon!!! And once I am no longer living out of boxes I want to do a wardrobe video. My new place is quite small compared to my last apartment, so I have been trying hard to get everything organized to the best of my ability. I even hung some of my headbows on the wall. Not only is it more visually appealing, but It is eadier to see and grab whichever headbow I need for my daily coord.

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 18

Day 18 –A picture of your favorite lolita style.

Eek! This is so hard! I love and appriciate every type of lolita! But I think if I had to really choose, I would go with Gothic. Its so pretty and elegant! Allthough no matter what I do I keep on falling in love with all sorts of super cute and cutesy Angelic Pretty prints, when you get down to it, old school sweet, gothic, and classic is where my heart is. Plus I just feel most comfortable in black. My clothing outside lolita is full of darker colors and minimal bright colors. My use of colors in my wardrobe usually just relied on my hair color, but since that has changed I have knoticed myself leaning more and more to bright pastels to make up for it!

This picture is from an old Moi Meme Moitie add. I love the elegance and simplicity to old school lolita trends. Allthough I have a few things that are bright and colorful, I would really like to get more darker pieces that fit together better to provide more cordination oportunities. This is what I first fell in love with 8 years ago, and this is what my dream wardrobe would consist of...if Angelic Pretty didnt keep on coming out with these darn cute prints and taking advantage of my wallet! XD But aside from my Angelic Pretty dresses, everything else in my wardrobe is either white, black, or darker colorways ;p



Gosh I feel like I just start rambling and then cant stop sometimes! I hope nobody minds! XP

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 17

Day 17 –What do you want more then anything right now?

Honestly, I want to all ready be moved into a new apartment! My lease is up soon and I am dreading the search for a new place not to mention the actual move! My boyfriend and I are moveing aoart for a bit, but were not breaking up. He wants to focus on his studies, and I dont have anywhere to go, and I cant afford my place alone so its time to move! I cant wait to hah a place all my own! I love my boyfriend but he is kind of lazy and dosent help much so it will be nice to only be worrying about cleaning up after myself.

But, since this is a lolita challange, I will throw in my greatest lolita desire: to have all my items get to me right now! XD I am waiting on a pair of Angelic Pretty Whip Magic OTK socks (to complete my pink x white collection), my Angelic Pretty Decoration Dreams set, my Bodyline order (from the $1 air campain thats taking its sweet time and apparently is STILL in Japan!), a btssb trick or treat jsk in pink(traded a girl in canada for it), and an aatp blose that is HOPEFULLY going to be shipped out tomorrow(after the seller dissapeared for a few weeks for the hollidays).

Unless I have money to nab Angelic Prettys new Twinkle Carnival, I am definately done shopping for while...just been waiting for what seems like forever for my last items to arrive. I dont want to chance loosing anything while i switch places.

I think I might head out to check out a place that looked affordable today before work, so everyone wish me luck! :]

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 16

Day 16 –Your outfit for the day

Finally able to continue! Sorry for taking so long!!! But unlike other blogs I've seen, I refuse to give up! There have just been so many things on my mind lately! BUT here is todays outfit! Super casual! I took my dogs on a longer then usual walk now that it's cooling down.

I have become really fond of having my hair in a high bun. I think it looks really cute, plus its perfect for work! Which is why I have on almost no make-up because I'll be off for there shortly.

It was really funon the walk, but about half way through the rout, my hip started hurting really bafly! Some times I get these really intense pains i my hip area where my leg bone conects. It makes it really hard to stand or walk, and dosent do me any good when i am at work. Hopefully for Christmas I can ask my parents to take me to a doctor to figure out ehats wrong with me. I easily mess up my wrists as well and then they can be in pain for weeks at a time. I wonder if I have some sort of joint issues?

Anyways, I want to talk about my new job too! I think I may have mentioned that I am now working in a grocery stores meat department. While we do have our own items that are pre-frozen and shipped to us, we do have quite a bit of meat that we cut and prepare ourselves. Not is it only cheaper that way, but we can also provide the best cuts of meat for a lower price, but it is fresh as well. This week i am scheduled ever night for closeing shifts. That means that I am to wash down all of the equipment and the floor to ensure there is no leftover meat so that no harmful bacteria can grow and contaminate our food.

I have to hose down everything in our back room with hot soapy water. Then i have to take everything apart and clean inside. A lot of these machines are really big and even the smaller parts are incredibly heavy! I am armed with a scrub brush and a hose with hot water that shoots out really fast. So the combonation of the hot water and the pressure from the hose gets everything off. Its a cold room so i have to wear several long sleeved shirts to stay warm. But once i start hosing everything off I get soaked! This is why i wear very little makeup and i wear my hair up. After everything is clean i need to make sure all the bits of meat either go down the drain or get thrown in the trash. Then I clean all the knives and smaller machine pieces. Now that your soaked the cold starts to kick in again. Thats why its nice to have long sleeves. Even if they are wet, the hot water soaks in your shirt and keeps you warm for the rest of the night.

After everyhing is cleaned and put back together I have to empty the trash and take all the empty cardboard boxes back to the box compresser. Its really cool to see everything smoshed down flat! Then I am allowed to go. It's actually a lot of fun so far! And no dealing with customers who seem to get grumpy during the hollidays! The only issue is that some of the things are sooooo heavy! And I have to do this all alone because no one ele is there at thend of the night. I cant wait to learn how to do more stuff! I am really excited!

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 15

Day 15 –A picture of your last lolita purchase.

Well actually, I am incredibly pleased to announce that just a few moments ago I bought my first Lucky Pack!!!

I was lucky enough to see a post in EGL about Metamorphose haveing a small Lucky Pack restocck. So, naturally, I jumped right on it! So, thats my latest lolita purchase. However, since I litterally JUST bought it, I can not show you ay pictures yet! XD

However, I can show you the last thing I bought that has made its way to my house!

I had been needing some ivory colored socks for some time. While I still would like a few more pairs so I can have matching socks for all my ivory dresses, I at least have one! And they are really cute too! <3

Oooh! And I can not wait for the rest of my stuff to come in so I can share! I have been building my wardrobe for a while now, but now I am finally getting down to the final details like adding tops and socks. After that I think I will be complete. I mean I will always add new pieces as brands release things, but soon i will have at least two coordinates per main piece. Signs of a full functioning wardrobe :]

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 13

Day 13 –A picture of your favorite sweets.

To be honest, I really dont like sweets. The best sweet things in my opinion is fruits! <3 However I suppose if I were to choose anything, I would go with Reese's peanut butter cups! Other then that I am absolutely gaga over another candy bar called Coffee Crisp! I have only been able to find them in Canada unfortunately. I have heard that there are some locations in town that occasionally have them, but so far I havnt been able to find any :[ So every time I go to Canada I alway bring back a giant stash of Coffee Crisps with me! :D So since I unfortunately dont have any Coffee Crisps around, all I can show you is this:

And I also wanted to share todays outfit! I have been constantly wearing my fur collar and legwarmers ever since I was able to finish them! I have been obsessing over winter outfits even though its only fall!^^' I have also been enjoying my legwarmers because everyone always say that they can not be incorporated into lolita, however I think you just have to have the right coordination skills, and items that fit well with the over all look.

Also, my hair is dyed to a natural color. If I want to get a new job I have to look "normal" and this is the first time going without any sort of color in almost 4 years! So before I dyed it I was really scared!!! I'm having a bit of difficulty adjusting actually...but hopefully I will start to feel better about it once I get a new job.

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 12

Day 12 –A picture of you before lolita came in your life.

Ahhh...that was soooo long ago!!!! Even before I started wearing lolita, I was so smitten by lolita once I discovered it, any way I could make my style more girly and incorporate lolita-esque things into my life, I did. But! I was able to find a picture back from around 2005/2006 when i was still in high school. This is one of my I dont care, gonna throw on a tee shirt and jeans knd of day. Most of the time I wore skirts and I had a fair number of blouses and cutesy shirts I would wear, along with some of my own hand made rectangle headdresses. It was still the cool thing to wear them in lolita back then, so I wore them with my normal clothes because that was the closest thing to actual lolita clothing I could get to at the time. I still adore thoes headdresses by the way! ;p

Oh! And I am in the middle, by the way! ;]

And to try and attemp to erase this horrid photo from your minds, this is a horrible cell phone photo of my outfit yesterday! <3

The photos are really washed out looking! Its so dark out all week! All of the lights on in the house and its still so dark!!! Anyways here is my makeup as well. Its all fancy because i was too lazy to re-do it for the halloween party that took place later on.

I was excited! My first time wearing my thick knit otk socks this year! Its finally getting cool out again!! Soon I'll need more layers for my arms as well! As soon as I find a new job I need to go on the hunt for cute new long-sleeved tops! And maybe a cute new coat! I have eye-balling some of the coats on bodyline! And apparently all November long they are having free shipping! I hope that dosent mean that they'll have a dramatic price increase as well! :[

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 10

Day 10 –What’s in your bag

Well, this bag is my main lolita bag. I do usually have my larger mainstream bags with lolita, but I will stick with this since this is aa lolita meme, Ill stick to my lolita bag. I actually wear this quite often in non lolita coords. Its my second most used bag. I got this off of ebay from a middle man that got it from Dream of Lolita, if I can remember correctly. :]

* eyelash glue (cuz you never know when one of them suckers is gonna try to missbehave!)

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 9

Day 9 –10 things you will never do in lolita.

As I try to wear lolita as often as possible, there are a lot of things I DO do in lolita. However there are still things even I would not do!

1. Rollercoasters. I freaking LOVE roller coasters!!! But I dont think i would ever go on one while wearing lolita. For one, I dont like the thought of flashing everyone REGARDLESS whats under my petticoat! And secondly, i dont want my skirt flying around blocking mine, or anyone elses view!

2. I dont think I would ever ride a bike while wearing lolita either. Mainly for the same reasons as above, plus, while you pedal, it looks like you would show even more! And way easier to catch a breeze up the skirt!! o*_*o

3. Paint!!! Enough said!!! :0

4. Bathe my animals or clean their homes. Dogs are bad enough, but I dont think I would even chance it with my rats!

5. Smoke! First of all, I dont even like smoking in the first place, most brands and types make me feel sick even smelling them. However, every couple of months or so I'll enjoy a menthol or two if im having a couple of drinks, but NEVER in my lolita! I would be devastated if I accidentally cinged my fabric or if my pieces began to smell like smoke! So if i must, I ALWAYS change!!! Either that or I'll be waiting a few more months! Lol

6. Rough house. Sometimes I get a little rowdy and i like to tackle my boyfriend or have big ole tickle fights, but wrinkles and rips are so not rori! :/

7. Snowboard. Even though I think it would look so awesome and I often dream of a cool snowboard loli, I imagine eventually your dress would get really soggy and look bad from the snow melting into the fabric. Other then that, I dream of a lolita in a white Milky chan coord with a white bolero and brownish/grey fur collar/earmuffs and gloves. <3 Maybe the next time I have the oportunity to snow board I'll take a few photos so I can pretend I really were a super cool snow boarder lolita!^^

8. Visit any of my family other then my step sister and my mom. Sad to say, but my step mom isnt very accepting of anything out of the ordinary. I HAVE NEVER been a mainstream girl. Despite of years of knowing this, any time i say do or wear anything not deemed "normal" in her mind she is anything but hesitant to tell me how odd or wierd I am, and i rarely said nicely, weather she means it that way or not. So based on what ive liked in the past, she would definately get her kicks off of my love for lolita :[ So I choose to just avoid the entire situation all together. My mom however thinks I'm the cutest prettiest thing to grace the earth, and my step sister thinks I look good and takes pride in having an elder step sister who does her own thing and rocks it :]

9. Sex. To all you loli_secret posters who love to write about sex in your lolita: Good for you! But I personally dont want anybodys bodily fluid on my beautiful clothing! I send to much time money and energy into my lolita, I am incredibly protective and carefull with my clothing! I dont want them to get dirty in anyway if possible!

10. House chores. Im super afraid that I would ruin my clothes! Especially since I dont have a full sized apron! Maybe if i got one, I could do some simple cooking or dish washing, maybe even laundry...but nothing else!!! I know some girls like to play princess while dressed up but I dont want to play Cinderella while cleaning toilets!^^'

Anyways, it feels good to finally continue with these! I hope I can finally go on to finish! :]

Also, I wanted to share that at my job, we had a tour of little kids come in today! The manager who opened with me today had never done a tour befor, so I got to take charge finally and do the whole thing by myself! It was so much fun and I did way better then my regular manager could have done...hes kind of an idiot...the only reason he became a manager and is in charge of my store is because he LITTERALLY cried to the owner about the job, and he felt bad and got it out of pitty :/ anyways, today was so much fun! I cant wait to be able to finally go back to school so I can become a teacher! :D

Sorry for the huge delay of this challange, and lack of posts. Its been pretty rough lately. A month ago so ago my boyfriend got laid off of work so ive been really busy taking up extra shifts to pay the bills. Also, we have come to the agreement to move apart for a bit. I was sad about it, but at the same time its going to be really nice having my own space. And were not breaking up or anything either which is good. :]

So yeah, kinda stressfull lately. Glad I did a bunch of shopping before that happened so I pla to show off the last of my new things for quite a while since they are all finally comeing in at the same time. ;p Also blogging is really fun for me and makes me happy so I want to try to do it more often to helpnprove my mood a bit.

10 People Who Inspire Your Lolita Style

None of these people are in any particular order. I really love seeing everyones outfits, so its a little difficult to get to 10... I really don't have too many people I look foreward too...I am more of a lone lolita. :]

1. Kana (aka MOON Kana)- From what I know of, the majority if not all of her clothes are hand-made. All of her outfits are so uniqe and adorable! Not only that, but I love some of her music! Every time I see her outfits, I either want to replicate them, or just make more of my own clothes is general.

2. Velvetbat- She is so pretty! And I really love her style! Especially her cyber lolita outfits! I have wanted to try it for years but i was always nervous how others would react. Now that I've seen hers I want to try this even more! I always look foreward to her posts and seeing all of her outfits!

3. Shelbycloud- I love all of her videos, and I am absolutely in love with all of her outfits! She is so freaking cute!!!

4. Ashlee- Shes adorable, she has cute photos, but most importantly I am super jelly of her hair! Not to mention I am in love with her pink Liz Lisa boots! But I do really enjoy her coordinates.

5. arsenicold_lace- She always has the lovliest outfits! I especially love all of her handmade hair pieces!

30 Day Challange- Day 6

10 Things You Can't Live Without In Lolita
1. Hair things! Flower, head bows, hair clips, hats! Even out of lolita I just can't live without them! My head just feels super naked wihout anything!

2. Knit boleros. Its so hot out here, that I usually don't want to wear a blouse under JSKs. But, screw "the rules", I just plain dont like going out without blouses because I feel that outfits look off balance without them. So I love my short sleeved knit boleros to keep my shoulders covered, but keep the air flowing to my skin as well.

3. I have recently become addicted to false eyelashes. Especially since I have a couple of glittery pairs. I wear them all the time! Unless of course I have work that day because unfortunately they frown on anything that is more then...well...your skin...and I love colors, glitter, eyeliner, and makeup in general.

4. Glitter! I always love to have glitter on me from head to toe, but especially when I am in lolita I can't put enough glitter on!

5. The people!!! The online community and my local community is so amazing! Its so much more fun with al the other frillys to share it with!

6. Petticoat...or at least the poof... I know i skimp on it because it's so hot sometimes, but if it wernt so hot i would wear it everyday! I even love poof in my non-lolita wear! For my outfit to Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this summer even had a super massive poof to it!

7. Bloomers. They are especially awesome when the wind decides to be a jerk and randomly blow really hard and you end up exposeing yourself to everyone... :/

8. Parasol and sunblock. Sunburns are so not rori.

9. A cute purse to cary your things. I get really annoyed when I dont have a matching bag to go with my outfit. I am curently trying to expand my badg collection.

10. Camera! Its so fun posting your lolita adventures online to share with everyone! Even if you don't post them, its really nice to have them anyways to remember how much fun you had, and you get to look at everybodys lovely outfits!

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 5/New sewing idea project

10 thrings from your wishlist

I can't find a picture of this one. But I have seen Baby, the Stars Shine Bright come out with them before.
1. A full black apron. Since I try to wear lolita everyday, there are just some things that I would like extra protection for my clothes. Since black is mor or less stain friendly, and I tend to wear darker colothers, I have really wanted a black full apron to wear while watering my plants, picking my herbs, and doing my dishes, etc. Not only that, but I think a ruffly black apron plus little ruffly heart pockets would be super adorable!

2. Ai*tai*na frill rocking hirse shoes. When I first saw them years ago I thought they were UGLY! But the past few years I can't get enough of them! I just havn't been able to decide on a color to get!

3. Black otk socks with white lace at the top. I don't care if it is considered ita. As long as its nice lace, it will rock! I am a sock addict and have been yearning for this type of sock to wear with my coords!!!

4. A black half-bonnet. I have always loved bonnets, but I think half-bonnets look better and less costumy/pilgrim/little bow peep to the average person. Plus you can wear your hair up in them! I am actually half way there for this one. I just bought an adorable black bunny bonnet from Baby the Stars Shine Bright. BUT it is a full bonnet...but none the less adorable.

5. I know I have mentioned this before, but I LOVE bunnies and I really want Angelic Pretty's Bunny Pocket jsk in blue. Then again I might like it in black as well since I'm really not much for sweet.

6. Angelic Pretty's Whip Magic OP. And socks to match it, as well as the two Whip Magic JSKs I have in each color. This i my ultimate dream print, and to be honest I am obsessed. But now it dosen't feel as much as an urge to get it now That I have both JSKs in two different colorways with both their own matching headbows. But either way I am always looking out for it!

7. Vampire Requiem High waisted skirt in red. I really don't understand all the hype about this print. It is prtty, but definately not dream dress status. But if I ever found it for a good non-scalped price then I may consider getting it. I didn't even really like it untill I saw a really beautiful coord with it. So now i kind of want it.

8. Angelic Pretty's camo op and headdress set. I remember this from way back when in the "old school" days. I use to make my own camo headdresses to wear since this was before I could buy lolita. I have always been in love with this dress!

9. Another camo OP, this time pink, and this time from Metamorphose. Either way, still lots of love for this one. I think I actually went crazier for this one then the one by Angelic Pretty.

I do believe this is from Atelier-Pierrot? Please correct me if I am wrong!
10. A cage skirt! I just think they look so awesome!

All right! So I mentioned the lolita camo above. I forgot about these pieces until I was actually was reading Fyeah Lolita, and the newest entry is actually about the old camo prints in lolita! I remember I was always into camo when I was younger, so when I saw that these lolita brands came out with camo lolita, I was so excited that the all mighty lolita gods made it officially A-OK! These pieces are pretty old, so I don't have much hope for actually finding them for myself, however I have been thinking of a new sewing project for a while now, so I think I might go with this one! Fortunately I get paid again soon so I think I'm going to have to search all the fabric stores in my town for a nice camo fabric. I don't care if no body else likes camo lolita. It's one of thoese things that brings back memories from my youth...not that I'm all that old anyways! XP

I think what I am going to do is make a skirt and if I can't find my old camo headdress, I'll just make a new one to go with it!

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 4

5. Butter biscut rolls from Red Lobster! Omg! So tastey!!! XD
6. Sea food. Any kind. I am such a big seafood person! Especially with pasta! (Number 2 on the list)

8. Mexican food. Its part of my heritage so i really love hispanic food in general!
9. I work in the pizza business, so i am really picky aboutt my pizza unless I make it myself. However there is this one reesturaunt called Frog 'n Firken. There are a bunch of "Firkin" resturaunts around the world, and I have been to 3, all in different countries. BEST PIZZA EVER!!!
10. I am a sucker for hot wings!!! I crave them almost 24/7!!!

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 3/A Recepie

Before I go to the day 3 of the lolita challange, I wanted to share a recepie really quick. I have been on a diet the past few weeks and have discovered many delicious new recepies to try. Honestly because of the food I have had the past few weeks I havn't even felt like I have been on a diet!

Orange Roughy in Scallion and Ginger Sauce
Orange Roughy is a type of fish. It can also be substituted for Cod, Sole, or Flounder, allthough I HAVE tried it with tillapia and it was equally as amazing.

1/3 cup dry sherry or vermouth
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 cup finely chopped scallion (green onion)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
2 orange roughy fillets (1 pound)

Preheat oven to 400 DEGREES FARENHEIGHT. Mix the sherry or vermouth, soy sauce, sesame oil, onion, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl.
Place the fish fillets in an ovenproof casserole dish. Drizzle the marinade over the fish and baoe for 12 minuets or untill the fish flakes easily.

Serves 2
Per serving: 242 calories, 35 g protein, 3 g carbohydrates, 6 g fat, 1 g saturated fat, 1154 mg sodium, 45 mg cholesterol, 1 g fiber

10 Things You Hate In Lolita
1. The Drama! Actually, there really isnt much drama, so I really don't understand why people think there is a bunch of drama surrounding lolitas. I think what is mainly it is over-reacting noobs who, when approached with con-crit freak out assuming everyone is trying to badh the. Which rarely happens! Most people just want to help out and some people just over-react. But honestly I dont think I have ever seen someone be mean to anybody for no reason. Thus, I really hate the misconceptio that lolitas ar meanies or drama lamas. Were basically the same as pretty much anybody regardless of what we all wear.

2. I hate how lolita isn't really suited for the hot weather. I live in the hot north western climate. It gets so unbearably hot I pretty much have to quit lolita for about 3 months out of the year.

3. The price! Even though I get a lot of my pieces at cheap secondhand prices, $100 for a dress is still a lot! Not to mention all the money you spend on shipping! If I sold my entire wardrobe I could probably buy a car that was built in this century(my current car is a 1992).

4. Ankle socks and knee socks! Allthough I have seen girl with really cute coordinates who can pull them off, I really don't like them. At least on me anyways. They seem to make my legs stubby, and just look way too childish for my liking. I prefer otk socks and tights, but like I said its basically my personal fashion tastes.

5. The sizes. Allthough I pretty much fit everyhing, I have bought dresses that are perfect in every way except being just slightly too small for either my boobs, or JUST my ribs! Its very dissapointing.

6. Going along with the above, I really wish sometimes that I could try on things before purchase.

7. The name. Allthough a lit of people don't even know the definition of lolita, the ones who do just cant seem to get atound the word, and it is really irritating!

8. People thinking I am dressed like an anime character :/ (this happened this last International Lolita Day when I wore lolita to a rave because well...how could I not dress up for ILD?)

9. People thinking that just because you are dressed in lolita clothing you are suppose to act all sweet anf innocent and propper. I personally can not help but swear like a sailor at times, and if someone pushes my buttons, you bet your sweet ass I'll let them have it! Also it irritaretes me new to the fashion girls tell me how they love sweet lolita, but it dosent match their personality! Whats this?! Some of the most cheerful happy bubbly people I have ever met were Goth! I really don't understand it! :/

10. The people who think just because of your ethnicity you can/can't pull off lolita like other people. :[

Day 2- 10 Things You Love In Lolita
1. I think the one thing that atracted me right off the bat was all the details that are in each and every pice of lolita clothing, such as the lace, pintucks, gathers, etc. The attention to detail is wonderful and makes me feel special just looking at it. The clothing really is a work of art by itself!

2. The shoes! I absolutely adore all the lolita shoes! They are all so cute and come in eveery color and shade you could think of!

3. I love all the crazy things brands put out! Pvc mini skirts, mini skirts in general, cakes and pastries to wear on your head, and even an ice cream cone headdress Angelic Pretty came out with a few years back! While it is all lolita brand stuff, you can easily make a "normal" outfit with ao these wacky items as well to give your lazy days i nice touch of cute withought having to go all out.

4. OTK socks. I kind of have an obsession with socks in general but I love all the cute sicks I can wear in lolita, and even pair them up with a cute non lolita outfit as well.

5. The community. Not only do I adore my local community, I love how I can be in touch with thousands of other frilly ladys and gents with just a press of a button.

6. Even though there are a few local lolitas here, I love the fact that unless we plan to hang out, chances are I will NOT run into anybody who wears lolita, let alone what it is. So its nice to walk around without seeing someone wearing the same thing you are.

7. All the various styles and looks you can have in lolita, yet at the end of the day it is still lolita.

8. It may sound lame, but i LOVE twirling around in my lolita skirts and dresses! Its so fun having them flair out while you spin! Or doing the booty shake to help your petticoat floof out.

9. The reactions! Obviously not all have been good, but the compliments are always awesome, especially with the children! I have been called princess, a beautiful lady, and I even once overheard a little girl exclaim to her mother that when she grew up she wanted to be just like me.

10. I suppose the most import thing is, the thing i love the most about lolita is lolita itself. No matter how long I go between wearing lolita, no matter what other fashions or hobbies I get into, I always go back to lolita. I just have some special conection to it. It makes me feel confident, amazing and beautiful. Not only does it put a smile on my face, but i have knoticed it puts smiles on the faces of others when they see me. And to know that wearing lolita has made others happy, makes me all the more happier! Sometimes it feels like I didn't choose lolita, rather that it chose me.

So I hope to be able to keep up with this! >_< So I suppose I will start with day one now! 10 Things About My Lolita Bubble
1. Even though I was a tomboy growing up, I have always loved and admired super girly items. I esspecially had a fascination with Victorian England and Rococo France. I longed to live in their world and wear all their clothes, so when I discovered lolita I felt so right at home and so perfect!
2. It has been round 8 years now since I discovered lolita. I try to wear it as often as possible but unfortunately that isn't always possible. And despite my love for lolita, I still love my stash of mini skirts and micro-minis!
3. Ero lolita has always apeald to me. Especially since the desert heat makez wearing lolita difficult. Hopefully summer will come to an end soon this year because I cant stand the heat! I can't wear lolita. But my goal for next summer is to have a nice collection of bloomers, underbust corsets and cute frilly camis so I can finally stay cool, keep my frills, and live out my dream of trying out ero lolita!
4. Lolita has ruined me as far as whenever I see anything with lace in a mainstream store I can't help but think "Ewww! That lace is atrocious!" if I see anything that I would not have on my lolita dresses.
5. I dont like sweet lolita too much because It makes me feel too childish, and I allready have people telling me they think im 16, but for some reason I keep on falling in love with sweet print dresses, buying them, and not knowing how to coordinate them into my wardrobe.
6. Even though big rectangle headdresses are consitered "ita" by some, they were all the rage when I first got into the fashion, so I use to make my own and wear them with my normal clothing since I didnt have anything else lolita to wear. So thoes big silly looking headdresses will always have a special place in my heart.
7. I don't like it when people call it "old-school" lolita. It just makes me feel old. Besides, I think I prefer the look of lolita back when i first started out then to the crazy OTT pastel pink vomit rainbow stuff it has been the past few years.
8. As mentioned above, it gets ridiculously hot here at times, so sometimes I skip out on the petticoat. I have several dresses that have a nice poof all on their own that I love to wear. However for the ones that dont have a good poof on thei own, I will definately wear a petti.
9. I really love all the girls I have met through lolita! They are all so much fun! Sometimes I prefer to see them then my normal friends because the are all so kind and sweet, plus they are super adorable! I am very gracious to lolita for bringing us all together!
10. I adore bunnys. I finally got a bunny last year, and since then I have been fawning over every bunny print or bunny item I find. In fact, my new dream dress is Angelic Pretty's Bunny Pocket jsk in blue. I know that they have a replica, but I want the real thing!
