Happy Easter Derpy Video Shoutout...sort of XP

Sorry this is the best I can do for you today. I had so many things planned out for Easter, but everything got all fudged up :[

But I still wanted to have something to post for Easter.

Here is a better picture of todays outfit and makeup. I had a super sweet Easter coord planned, but since I ended up not doing much I decided I wanted to match my darling bunny Mayhem! ♥

I ran into some of my bestest friends from high school at the con! ♥

An adorable and sweet girl dressed as Pudding from Tokyo Mew Mew!

Same girl as above but later that night. Still freaking adorable!
We danced a ton at the rave too!

Met and traded with awesomely cool kandi kids! I was so excited to meet more of my own kind! ♥

Another wonderful lolita I know. I am so jelly of her AP witch set!

Group shot #1

Group shot #2
It was near impossible to get everyone together in one place for photos! D:

My secret wish finally came true when Miroku from InuYasha asked me to bear his(her) children! ♥
...
and then...

...sorry Sango...

One of the best Lulu and Chi cosplays I've ever had the fortune to see in person! ♥

It was so hot dancing at the con's rave I had to tie my pigtail clip things up into a bun on my wig and take off my blouse! oh noes!!! Just kidding. I really don't care about that stuff! XP

 Sunday:
Sunday's makeup. Not too much going on since I had work later on that day. :[

This is one of Bodyline's Wa Lolita yukatas. It is actually very nice in person!
Just in case anyone was wondering how the actual quality is! :P

I actually made this jsk but this cutie bought it from me at the swap meet the previous day since I no longer fit in the chest area. She looks soooo cute in it though! I'm really glad she has it now! ♥

OK!!!!! So thats the majority of the photos from Con-Nichiwa! It was tons of fun and I hope to be able to go to another convention again soon! ♥

Strawberry Lolita Tea Party Meet-up

Ok! So since I have a lot fewer photos from the meet, I will share them first! But first, outfit snap from yesterday!

Allthough I've been going through a faze where I am eliminating the majority of my sweet items, I will never ever EVER get rid of my beloved Whip Magic dresses!!! So I tried to mix it with black, and I still love it, and feel comfortable enough to wear it out! ♥ Thank goodness!

Awesome people I know! ♥

Group shot. And that little doggie in the front by me is my mamas dog Daisy. I had to babysit her for the weekend so she traveled with us to the meet. :]

A newer lolita, but shes so cute and so well put together allready! ♥ Please excuse my shorts showing from beneath my dress! DX

And finally jerk-face's car. My final photo I took in retaliation as we drove away.

Thats it for now! I hope to have the photos from the con up soon! There are sooooo many!!!!!

Strawberry Lolita Tea Party

Yesterday I traveled up to phoenix in a car packed with lolitas to the second anual Strawberry Lolita Tea Party! Now dispite being lost for about half an hour because Google Maps sucks, once we were finally found and rescued, we all had a blast!

My outfit:
jsk: btssb
Blouse: meta
Hair corsage: claire's
Necklace, braceletes: forever21, charlotte russe, offbrand
wristcuffs: AatP
Boots: secret shop
Tights: ebay

I am really happy how my outfit turned out! I bever know what to wear with this dress because It is my only ivory colored piece I have aside from my AatP wristcuffs! But I think I balanced out the white and the ivory nicely here. I wish I had more brown pieces to pair with it. Or I wonder if black would look ok too? I really love this dress and wish I had more ways to wear it!

I only took one photo myself, because I usually ALWAYS forget I have my camera, but I should be able to upload everything tomorrow from this meet, and from Con-Nichiwa! :]

I had a blast and I met new people and saw old friends!

The only thing bad was some guys disgusting behavior at a gas station. While everyone had been kind and plesant all day long, as we were gasing up for the trip home, soke guy started to take our photos without permission. That set one of my friends off and she started to lecture him. I told him we would gladly let him take a photos, all we ask is the common courtesy of asking first. He then replies thats what we get for "dressing like its halloween." I cant believe some peoples lack of manners! So after that comment, I was done and I broke out my camera and started taking pictures back which he promptly tried to dodge. I think that was the most ridiculouse attitude I have ever run into wearing lolita.

Just because we dress sweet and innocent dosent mean were going to take that stuff lying down. Especially when were with friends, we stick up for eachother and got eachothers back!

Con-Nichiwa 2012

Hi! I am finally back! I had such a great weekend at the con! It was so much fun and I ran into a bunch of old friends I never thought I would see! Allthough I havnt had the chance to upload all my photos, I did manage to find other photos of my outfits to share for the time being to go along with the rundown of the con!

FRIDAY- Day 1

Cyber/raver lolita
headbow, jsk, otk socks: Angelic Pretty
Blouse: Metamorphose
Wristcuffs: Milky Way Cute
fuzzy wrist cuffs, legwarmers: Adjamba
Mask, mini bow, cupcake hair tie, kandi bracelets: made by me
Fishnets: ebay

For starters, the convention was only a 15-20 minuet drive away from my house, and it was $45 for the whole weekend pass. So I didnt spend much and I also didnt have to worry about getting a room at the hotel. I think I only spent about $15 in gas driving back and forth every day, and thats only because I have a horrible sence of direction and I got lost the first day, saturday i got lost trying to find a Carl's Jr to get some burgers, and somehow I got lost driving home on sunday.

While there wasnt much going on the first day, It was a nice way to scope out the area, meet a few people before it got too hectic, and check out the vendors hall. I actually ended up running into two of my best friends from high school! So that was really fun to catch up! I tried my hand at doing the para para dance to the Carmel Song, and failed epicly, but it was loads of fun! I even ended up being in the J-fasion show! I was really scared at first, but as soon as I was on stage it all went away. I really hope I have a chance to do it again!

SATURDAY- Day 2

Deco/OTT/Bittedsweet...I really dont know how to classify this one since all the elements I have included are all things I love...I guess this is my inner lolita that I want to look like 24/7! XP
Jsk, headbow, socks, shoes: Angelic Pretty
Blouse: Meta
Gloves: vintage
Everything else: handmade, claire's, off brand

I ended up leaving early Friday night so I could spend the rest of the night preparing for Saturday. The frst thing I went to was a Gyaru pannel, which is another style I have loved from afar (mainly hime gyaru). It was really interesting seeing all the different styles of gyaru! I also saw a lolita coordination pannel. Though I dont think I need it, its always fun never the less to see what others have to say about lolita, and it was fun to see the new lolita faces! We also had a swap-meet during the con. We got to go threw eachothers things, and even the con-goers got to look too. I ended up selling about half the things I brought with me, which were 2 GIANT tote bags. Most of the people who bought from me were people who were new to the fashion or who were interested in starting. I will admit I was very annoyed at some people who scoffed at my prices, not knowing how much it originally cost ME! But if they do actually pursue lolita, they will learn! Haha XD

After the swap was over, it was time to get down to some serious business at the con rave! It was my first con rave so I was really excited!! Though I was telling someone I was excited because Ive only gone to real raves in the past, but I have a lot of online friends who have only gone to con raves, and I was eagre to experience on, and he just looks at me and said, "I know your dressed in lolita, but you dont have to be a snob!"

I was so shocked! I allready have a fear of people calling me a snobby lolita at cons since I hear a lot of stories of newbies having bad experiences with the more experienced girls. But that was so insulting to me to be called a snob! Anywho, asie from that it was tons of fun and I danced a ton! Untill the DJ played dubstep...which I admit I like dubstep, but I DONT KNOW HOW TO DANCE TO THAT!!! In fact, I dont know anyone who knows really how to dance to it. Its just undanceable! XD And the DJ wasnt very good af transitioning from song to song. The transitions were not smooth at all. He would go from a pretty trance like dance beat straight into some wierd rock music, to some super fast upbeat anime sounding song. It was kind of odd, but I was happy and danced, and I even traded kandi with a few people! I cant wait for my next con and con rave!

SUNDAY- Day 3

Sweet Lolita
Hair accessories: Angelic Pretty, claire's, offbrand
Blouse: rue21
Jsk: Angelic Pretty
Wristcuffs: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Bracelets: made by me
(Not shown)
Shoes: Bodyline
OTK socks: Angelic Pretty

This was a fun and relaxing day. I went to a few cosplay pannels, but mainly just walked around before I had to leave for reality. I bought a few things from vendors and got lasf minuet photos. I had to leave a bit early because I did have work later which sucked, but it wasnt so bad.

I cant wait to have another chance to go to a convention! I cant believe its been 5 years since my last one! Stay tuned and I will be posting all the pictures from this past weekend! I have so many it needs a post all too themselves! It will also include makeup closeups and hopefully better/lezs blurry photos of my outfits.

Hope you all enjoyed! c:

Experimental Lolita + my Etsy

Well I have been juggling cyber lolita outfits in my head for a while now, but I dont have the money to do exactly what I want. However, after going through my events page on Facebook, I realized that on April 28th, I have two events I really want to go to on the same day! AND they just happen to be at the same park! The first event is our May Day picnic for all the Arizona lolitas. The second is the first raver picnic of the season. Since I know that the raver picnics usually last all night long, and I know that the May Day picnic will last till about 3:00, I figured I could just walk across the park to join in the raver kid festivities.

I havnt had the time or money to go to a rave recently. The last one I went to was back in November. I really misss it a lot! I miss all of my raver friends! Unfortunately we are so busy with our own lives that raves are the only time we ever get to see eachother.

So, at first I was planning an outfit for the May Day picnic, but then I was thinkng, that wouldnt do so well at a raver party. All though for summer International Lolita Day last year I wore lolita to a rave, but that was a speciql case. So I figured why not create an outfir that combines my love for the rave world, AND lolita? I have a ton of beads, so yesterday I went to work on a few accessories.

A kandi mask, a bow, and a cupcake hair tie. I am contemplating making kandi goggles, but I am not sure if thats going to be too much on my head since I am also obviously going to have my headbow on as well.

I am going to wear my Whip Magic jsk in black, and wear my pink fuzzy legwarmers and wrist cuffs. I am really excited for this outfit! It is going to combine the two things I love most, AND it will be with my favorite dress!

Here is a rough preview of what it will look like:

But I think I am eithet going to wear black otk socks instead. Possibly with my pink glittery fishnet tights on top if I can find them! ;P

As for makeup, I have no idea what to do!!! All I know for certain is that I will be wearing my green cercle lenses. Here is a closeup of what the mask looks like worn. I also have my circle lenses in right now, but please excuse my boring every-day makeup. Whatever I decide on is going to be very glittery, and probably have lots of swirls or something going on.

And while I really wanted to continue with the 30 day challange, I can not at the moment. For one, one of the people in my building has bed bugs. The infestation is so bad they are having reports of them now moveing into other peopls rooms. When I found this out yesterday I was incredibly grossed out! I even slept at my gentelman caller's house last night so I wouldnt have to be here. I have never had a bug problem. I like to keep my place spotless and clean! Even with all the animals I have, I always make sure no cage is smelly and I vaccum regularly! So now that this infestation is going on in the room beneath me, the exterminators came in and tore my apartment apart to set up bug traps, and spray down my floor and walls. They also gased the heck out of the breeding grounds down stairs, so hopefully that will be the end of that! So now that my place is torn apart, I dont really want to take pictures of my room for the next challange.

Secondly, I have been really busy with my Etsy shop. I make and sell custom beaded bikini tops and belts. I have also done purses and skirts for myself and others. I recently got several orders so I have been a bit busy and havnt been able to have the time to continue with the challange, and then the bug problem happened :[

Anyways, here is the latest order I have finished. This is for an A-cup, and the rainbow pattern is glow in the dark.

The next order I will be working on is a Batman belt. It is going to be awesome, and I will definately share pictures of when it is done!

I think after I finish all of my current orders I might make a few more masks and list them and see how they go. If they sell allright then I might add them to my list of custom pieces that can be ordered.

So what do you think of my outfit and newest creations? I would really like some con crit for all of them! Thanks so much in advance for your info!

Vintage finds, Bloody Valentine 2, and the Renesance Festival

A few weeks ago I found these two beautiful paires of vintage lace gloves. One pair is pink, the other is black. I have always thought long lace gloves were a wondeful and little used accessory, even in the lolita world! I only ever see them used by the lovely Asuka of Angelic Pretty, whom I will admit, I have always loved her style!!

So it is not a suprise that I wore my first lovely pair of black lace gloves to Saturdaythe 18th's event titled "Bloody Valentine 2". Here is a pic of my outfit before I left the house:

Gloves: vintage
OP: Bodyline
OTK socks, shoes: Angelic Pretty
Belt: offbrand
Hair flower: claire's
Necklace: Forever21

It was wicked fun! I even got all bloodied up! Now here are some pictures i took with my bff Emily!

She isn't a lolita so she was trying to look at my petticoat and take pictures so finally i said "fine!!!!" And I just flashed her to get it over with! XP

Me and my bestie! <3 And of course like the last club event I went to, they had a professional photographer. I kindalook all derped up in this photo because I went to the blood station and got covered! It was really fun!

The next thing I did was on Sunday I went to the Renaisance Festival with my ex boyfriend, who also just happens to be my best (dude) friend. It was so much fun! I ate a giant turkey leg, watched the jousting tournamant, watched a family circus perform juggling, and watvhex a dead guy cokedy routine! Even though we really didnt have money to spend on anything, it was a lot of fun to just look at all the crafts that were on display like hand made glass blown figurines and cups, candels, woodwork, and hand sculpted leather masks.

While I was having too much of a blast to take any photos, I did for once remember to take makeup and outfit shots beforeI left the house.

Everything here is Angelic Pretty except, obviously, my converse sneakers. At first I was going to wear my Angelic Pretty tea parties, but then I remembered how dusty it can be, and we would be walking around for hours, so I went with maximum comfort. However, I don't think that they even clash that badly with the rest of my outfit. :]

I am also really happy with how my makeup came out for the day! Since Milky Planet is a sparkley print I wanted to have as much glitter on my face as posible to match it! All the actors and workers kept on calling me Lady Sparkle Eyes. It was really funny! One of the older gentelman working even knew what lolita was! Apparently he lived in Japan for some time and knew all about it and thought it was awesome that I wear it too! Not just him, but I was aproached about evry 5 minuets by people telling me how cute I was or how much they loved my dress/outfit! It really bosted my confidence! And since I looked so different compared to everyone else who was either in normal clothes or mideval wear, whenever we went to the pub stand, they never rechecked our IDs becaused they remembered me!

All in all, It was an amazing day! I wish I would have gotten more pictures from the event, but I guess there is always next year! :]

positive experiences in lolita

Im going to start off firt with my outfit for the day

Dress, socks: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: bodyline
belt: offbrand
Accessories: claires, handmade, pink macaroon, metamorphose
Bolero: ebay

Makeup:

As you may or may not know, I recently moved to a somewhat sketchy side of town. Not the worst, but not the best either. Especially compared to the side of town I moved from. So, since I wear my lolita clothing daily, or at least on a near daily basis, I was terrified of what to expect from people on this side of town! But, living on my own, this is all I can afford at the moment. At first, I didnt wear lolita at all! Then, slowly, i started to wear a skirt paired with a tanktop. Starting out slowly, you know? Then I slowly started to wear my jsks without a blouse...and you know what? It was ok! Now Im back at the point where I am wearing exactly what I want to again! And wearing what I love and makes me happy also gives me confidence!

I honestly believe that confidence is the key to getting positive feedback from people around you! In fact, I was so nervouse about wearing lolita at first, but I have only had 2 negative experiences since I moved at the beginning of January, and they wernt even that bad! Just mildly irritating! Aside from that, I have had tons of compliments on a daily basis! I have even been hit on, and asked out while just walking my dogs in lolita! And not by some creeper looking hobos or anything, but by actual guys who seem normal!

I feel that if someone is a bully, they are going to go after meak little prey. So dont look scared or intimidated or else you are quite likely to be singled out. Bullies pick people apart because it makes them feel better and they want to get a reaction out of you. So if you carry yourself with confidence and you feel comfortable, you are lot less likely to run into trouble.

But thats just in my experience. I may be strong willed, stubborn and confident now, but there was a time when I was very meek, sky, and bullied all the time. I would get teased for being half hispanic-half white, for having curly hair, because i loved to read, because I was smart, etc. It really broke me down for a long time. Then one day I decided I didnt care what they thought. They were not my friends. I didnt hang out with them. So why should I care? I should be proud of all thoese thing that they made fun of me for. That is what makes me ME! So I started feeling comfortable with myself, and I started to gain confidence. They slowly stoped picking on me when I quit giving them a reaction. And ever since then, I have rarely encountered any problems with anyone regardless of how I look or dress.

I know it may be hard to get the confidence at first. It was a little unnerving to all of a sudden lack the confidence to wear my clothes that i love so much. But, just take it easy and slow untill you feel comfortable and move on to the next step, and so on and so forth untill you can wear a full blown lolita coordinate with your head heald high, and a giant smile on your face!

Sorry for such a long post today but it was just something thats been on my mind recentlly. I should hopefully resume with the 30 day challange tomorrow. My bedroom light went out so its too. dark to take any pictures back there.

Day 21- Your favorite fictional lolita

Well, as you might realize, there isnt many fictional lolita characters out there. I was trying to find it earlier, but it seems to have dissapeared, but there was an online comic calld "Confessions of an American Lolita" which was roughly based on what actually happens in the real life lolita communities. If I had to choose anyone, it would be that main character! Mainly because she was so...well, NORMAL! I found it back in '08, but I never even saw another chapter come out after the first one. Regardless, I loved it! I wish it didnt dissapear so I could of shown it to the world!
