30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 17

Day 17 –What do you want more then anything right now?

Honestly, I want to all ready be moved into a new apartment! My lease is up soon and I am dreading the search for a new place not to mention the actual move! My boyfriend and I are moveing aoart for a bit, but were not breaking up. He wants to focus on his studies, and I dont have anywhere to go, and I cant afford my place alone so its time to move! I cant wait to hah a place all my own! I love my boyfriend but he is kind of lazy and dosent help much so it will be nice to only be worrying about cleaning up after myself.

But, since this is a lolita challange, I will throw in my greatest lolita desire: to have all my items get to me right now! XD I am waiting on a pair of Angelic Pretty Whip Magic OTK socks (to complete my pink x white collection), my Angelic Pretty Decoration Dreams set, my Bodyline order (from the $1 air campain thats taking its sweet time and apparently is STILL in Japan!), a btssb trick or treat jsk in pink(traded a girl in canada for it), and an aatp blose that is HOPEFULLY going to be shipped out tomorrow(after the seller dissapeared for a few weeks for the hollidays).

Unless I have money to nab Angelic Prettys new Twinkle Carnival, I am definately done shopping for while...just been waiting for what seems like forever for my last items to arrive. I dont want to chance loosing anything while i switch places.

I think I might head out to check out a place that looked affordable today before work, so everyone wish me luck! :]

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 16

Day 16 –Your outfit for the day

Finally able to continue! Sorry for taking so long!!! But unlike other blogs I've seen, I refuse to give up! There have just been so many things on my mind lately! BUT here is todays outfit! Super casual! I took my dogs on a longer then usual walk now that it's cooling down.

I have become really fond of having my hair in a high bun. I think it looks really cute, plus its perfect for work! Which is why I have on almost no make-up because I'll be off for there shortly.

It was really funon the walk, but about half way through the rout, my hip started hurting really bafly! Some times I get these really intense pains i my hip area where my leg bone conects. It makes it really hard to stand or walk, and dosent do me any good when i am at work. Hopefully for Christmas I can ask my parents to take me to a doctor to figure out ehats wrong with me. I easily mess up my wrists as well and then they can be in pain for weeks at a time. I wonder if I have some sort of joint issues?

Anyways, I want to talk about my new job too! I think I may have mentioned that I am now working in a grocery stores meat department. While we do have our own items that are pre-frozen and shipped to us, we do have quite a bit of meat that we cut and prepare ourselves. Not is it only cheaper that way, but we can also provide the best cuts of meat for a lower price, but it is fresh as well. This week i am scheduled ever night for closeing shifts. That means that I am to wash down all of the equipment and the floor to ensure there is no leftover meat so that no harmful bacteria can grow and contaminate our food.

I have to hose down everything in our back room with hot soapy water. Then i have to take everything apart and clean inside. A lot of these machines are really big and even the smaller parts are incredibly heavy! I am armed with a scrub brush and a hose with hot water that shoots out really fast. So the combonation of the hot water and the pressure from the hose gets everything off. Its a cold room so i have to wear several long sleeved shirts to stay warm. But once i start hosing everything off I get soaked! This is why i wear very little makeup and i wear my hair up. After everything is clean i need to make sure all the bits of meat either go down the drain or get thrown in the trash. Then I clean all the knives and smaller machine pieces. Now that your soaked the cold starts to kick in again. Thats why its nice to have long sleeves. Even if they are wet, the hot water soaks in your shirt and keeps you warm for the rest of the night.

After everyhing is cleaned and put back together I have to empty the trash and take all the empty cardboard boxes back to the box compresser. Its really cool to see everything smoshed down flat! Then I am allowed to go. It's actually a lot of fun so far! And no dealing with customers who seem to get grumpy during the hollidays! The only issue is that some of the things are sooooo heavy! And I have to do this all alone because no one ele is there at thend of the night. I cant wait to learn how to do more stuff! I am really excited!

The next one is obviously Christmas themed, but I have no idea what to wear! Maybe it wont even be Christmas themed...maybe I'll just go plain OTT? Or go for a gothic coord and make a holly and ivy wreath for my hair would be cute too. All the possibilities, I am really excited! :]

Past two events + new purchases

Ok! So not only have I found a new job, but Ive scored some really cute things, and went to a couple cool events! Life is treating me good!

First of all, a few Fridays ago I went to a rave in Phoenix called Kandiland! It was so much fun! So many of my friends were there!!! I had friends from all over Arizona show up, and all over California as well!!! It was great to see everyone in one place! Especially since I hardly ever get to see most of them! I had the cutest Hello Kitty outfit planned! Unfortunately I couldnt find my Hello Kitty fleece hat! :[ Also, I made a beadkini for one of my friends and she was going to make me a matching bead skirt in exchange, bu I guess she didnt finish it in time, so I ended up wearing a purple tutu that I made. It was actually the first tutu I ever made, but unlike my other tutus I never got to wear it untill now! Sorry for the bad pictures! I forgot my camera at home and my friends who did bring their cameras...well, we were having too much fun to remember to take more. ;p

And a closeup picture. I didnt really like how my makeup turned out...I think its usually better, but everyone else liked it so that made me feel better about it! :] This is one of my really good friends from way out of town. I was really excited to see him! We hung out all day before the rave and some other friends joined us after the rave to eat at iHop, which is kind of a tradition for me and my local rave family!

All though I had a blast though, I was really dissapointed with the organization. The outdoor area was SO tiny! I have been to that same venue before and the outside are was big! I have no idea why they made it so tiny! Especially since it was packed! If I can remember corectly, tickets were sold to people in 23 different states! I have no clue why they didnt prepare for it. Also, at 10pm they ran out of water for 2 hours! So it was hot and packed like sardines, and no water. :/ Aside from that though, I did enjoy myself.

And if anybody is familiar with Crumpet who runs this site dedicated to sharing hundreds of kandi picture cuff patterns, then I have cool news to share! She was at the rave too! I evnded up trading her one of my 3Ds for one of her cuffs, and she said it was really pretty and loved it! :D I am really happy I actually had the chance to trade her! It's like celebrity kandi! ♥



Ok! And so event #2 was at a local bar, and it was called Vampire Masqurade! I honestly had no idea what to wear for this event! I had just gotten home from my first day of training and threw something together! However, I think it actually turned out really cute for an all offbrand thrown together outfit! I wore my underbust corset most of the night, but took it off around 2am, which made it look sort of like a gal hime outfit, but it was really cute! I want to get more flowy tops like it now so I can experiment with more styles! BUT enough of my babling and on to the pictures!

There were a few really nice photos taken by a photographer there, but I have yet to see them released, but I will definately share them as soon as I find them!^^

This same night was also when the new Angelic Pretty lucky packs were released online! I was so excited, except they were sold out a mere 3 minuets after they were released...

However, I did manage to order the new Angelic Pretty print Decoration Dreams in the sax colorway! I am so stoaked to get this set! Even though I honestly prefer more subtle things, and black, Angelic Pretty just seems to have this wicked spell over me! Every so often I see a print that i must have! I do try to keep it to jumperskirts though, so I can pair it up with a black blouse and socks to kind of town it down. However, I think I may just do an OTT sweet coord with this new set. I just cant resist all the adorable ponys! Besides, blue is my favorite color!

So, even though I know there are going to be a ton of people wearing it the typical coords that you would find in the add, I want to wear it that way as well...at LEAST once! ♥ Then I'll mix it up with the rest of my wardrobe. But even though the color and the ponies are what sold me, this is why I fell in love:

Allthough, honestly I really need to take a break from buying lolita till my birthday! XD So I think I can wait untill May to get anything else! :]

Twinkle Carnival, Angelic Pretty's new print

I just came across this image of Angelic Pretty's next print.It kind of looks like the love child print of the Chandelier print and Sugary Carnival. So, since they were both popular, I am going to assume that this will also be as popular.

Seems like just my luck that just as I shell out a bunch of money on one print, I immediately find out about another! Haha! I allready am in love with the pink and gold print, so i am incredibly excited to see the other colors!

What does everyone else think of this print?

My First Lucky Pack

I am so excited! I was able to buy my first lucky pack ever last week! I got one from meta. Meta has alway been a brand I love, even when I was starting out. They have very lovely classic looking items as well as adorable sweet things. I have always loved their wacky items like their pvc bondage looking dress, their tacky ita lace monster (which one day i hope to own), and just their own styel they have in general.

I am just going to link to the images today since no matter what i seem to do these pictures always seem to explode on the screen! :/

While if you couldnt tell from my first passage, I was really hoping toget one of their lace monsters. Even though I didnt get one, I am incredibly happy with this dres! It is so very pretty! I allready have several coords planned out in my head for it!

Pink Blouse
I am so happy I got this blouse! It is so pretty!!! I have wanted a pink blouse for a while now! My only issue is I just got a pink blouse from Bodyline as well :/ I dont think I need two short sleeved pink blouses, so I havnt decided if I will be keeping the Bodyline blouse or not, but we'll see. :]

Bag, socks, hair comb, and brooch
To be terribly honest, I never liked the citron soda print. So Im definately not going to keep the bag. Same goes for the little pin/brooch. I do really like it and think it is really cute, but I have absolutely nothing that would match it. Too bad it isnt a different color. As for the socks, I am not positive or not on. A friend suggested that I could wear them with my Milky Planet, but I'm not sure if that would be too much yellow. Last of all is the pink bow hair comb. It looks to be very pale pink with hot pink tulle on the edges! I have nothing to match it but it is so random that I kind of want to keep it! I could always wear it on my lazy/laundry days when I still need that hint of cutesy lolita accessories! :]

I am pleased with what I got for the most part and think it was definately worth it! I hope to be able to have a chance at the next set of lucky packs!

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 15

Day 15 –A picture of your last lolita purchase.

Well actually, I am incredibly pleased to announce that just a few moments ago I bought my first Lucky Pack!!!

I was lucky enough to see a post in EGL about Metamorphose haveing a small Lucky Pack restocck. So, naturally, I jumped right on it! So, thats my latest lolita purchase. However, since I litterally JUST bought it, I can not show you ay pictures yet! XD

However, I can show you the last thing I bought that has made its way to my house!

I had been needing some ivory colored socks for some time. While I still would like a few more pairs so I can have matching socks for all my ivory dresses, I at least have one! And they are really cute too! <3

Oooh! And I can not wait for the rest of my stuff to come in so I can share! I have been building my wardrobe for a while now, but now I am finally getting down to the final details like adding tops and socks. After that I think I will be complete. I mean I will always add new pieces as brands release things, but soon i will have at least two coordinates per main piece. Signs of a full functioning wardrobe :]

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 14

Day 14 –A picture of your dream item.

I dont have any main dream item at the moment, but what I would really really like to try to get next is the Milky-chan set in brown!!! I want so many things in a bunch of different colors from that series, but i think the first thing I'll be going after will be the ribbon jsk in brown!

I am also really excited to anounce that my brief time unemployed is over. I start working on Friday in the grocery store meat department! I am so excited! Not the most fabulouse job, but my moms done it and she thinks ill love it there. :]

Also, at this time I am looking for Angelic Pretty's Whip Magic chest ribbon jsk in the black colorway! So if anybody spots it you should let me know!!! I have been earching for it forever with no avail. :[

30 Day Lolita Challange- Day 13

Day 13 –A picture of your favorite sweets.

To be honest, I really dont like sweets. The best sweet things in my opinion is fruits! <3 However I suppose if I were to choose anything, I would go with Reese's peanut butter cups! Other then that I am absolutely gaga over another candy bar called Coffee Crisp! I have only been able to find them in Canada unfortunately. I have heard that there are some locations in town that occasionally have them, but so far I havnt been able to find any :[ So every time I go to Canada I alway bring back a giant stash of Coffee Crisps with me! :D So since I unfortunately dont have any Coffee Crisps around, all I can show you is this:

And I also wanted to share todays outfit! I have been constantly wearing my fur collar and legwarmers ever since I was able to finish them! I have been obsessing over winter outfits even though its only fall!^^' I have also been enjoying my legwarmers because everyone always say that they can not be incorporated into lolita, however I think you just have to have the right coordination skills, and items that fit well with the over all look.

Also, my hair is dyed to a natural color. If I want to get a new job I have to look "normal" and this is the first time going without any sort of color in almost 4 years! So before I dyed it I was really scared!!! I'm having a bit of difficulty adjusting actually...but hopefully I will start to feel better about it once I get a new job.

Fuzzy Legwarmers

So a few days ago I stumbled across this image on Lolita Weekly, only adding fuel to the fire for my increasingly burning passion for faux fur. Which pretty much lead me to my fur post a few days ago.


So, since I didnt have much to do yesterday, I decided to get crafty, and make my own!

I think they turned out really well! Perfect touch for winter lolita coords! I also want to make a super cutesy rave outfit to wear with them as well! I was thinking maybe a pink tulle and sparkly white tulle tutu, but I'm not sure what I could make for a top.

My next fur project will be a cute fur collar, and I also want to make a white jacket as well. I want to make the exact things in black faux fur as well, but I dont know what color ribbon to use...

I also have a ton of fabric so I'm not sure what else I should make with it, so if anyone has any ideas please let me know!!!! :]

Real life dress up doll game

There was a post on EGL a few weeks back about a real life dress up doll game where girls would pair up with eachother and create an outfit for one another using their wardrobes. I was paired up with lloviz, and we ended up making two outfits for eachother! It was so much fun!

I am really happy that the coords I made came out so well! Isn't she adorable??? >w< This whole experience was tons of fun and I hope that I have another oportunity to participate in another one soon! Faux Fur

You know, the past couple of weeks I have not been able to get faux fur out of my head! Maybe its because the climate is changing and its finally getting chilly out, I dont know! But I keep on thinking of all the projects I want to do!!! Especially with white fur, but occasionally I want some black fur to make items as well. And then everywhere I turn lately i either see faux fur pictures, or people talking about their plans for faux fur!

While I dont agree with real fur, for some reason I am fascinated with faux fur! Maybe because its so soft and fuzxy? Especially with Baby, the Stars Shine Bright releading their faun print items. I can't resist!!!

As a raver, I allready own several pairs of fuzzy legwarmers. However as far as a few months ago I have been wanting to add them to my lolita wardrobe. The only pair that I have that matches are my baby pink legwarmers. But the only type of coords I could do with them are cyber lolita coords. What I really want to do is make a pair of black and a pair of white legwarmers. I think it would be the perfect touch to a winter coord! Of course when I finally get to make them they wont have as big of a flair at the bottom as my rave gear. I want them to be cute and dainty!

I also want to make a black and white fur collars, maybe even some muffs, and some cute croped fuzzy jackets to go with my lolita!!! Ive always wanted a fuzzy jacket, but I fell in love with some fur at the fabric store! Besides, I am in desperate need of a new jacket! And I dont have the money to buy one, so might as well make it and get exactly what I want, right?

How do you guys feel about faux fur? Perhaps you prefer real fur? Neither? Do you think that this is a passing trend or something here to stay? I have actually knoticed it a lot in mainstream wear as well, not just lolita. Maybe I can invest in some cute cheap fuzzy things while they have them availible in the department stores? :]
